When I see a giant mess like this in our house, Iย ๐ค๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ. โฃ
โฃEverything in me wants to scurry down on my hands and knees and clean it up as quickly as possible. โฃ
โฃSometimes, it is a conscious effort (often involving aggressive chain-gum-chewing) to resist the urge toย just โ๐ต๐ช๐ฅ๐บ ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆย ๐ฐ๐งย ๐ช๐ตย ๐ถ๐ฑโ as they are playing.โฃ
โฃHereโs the thing…. those urges are probably more aboutย ๐ข๐ฎย ๐ค๐ฌ๐ฃย hard wiring. โฃ

That authentic, messy, free, self-directed play?โฃ

Itโs the single best way for them to learn, explore, experiment, investigate, communicate, discover…. all of it.โฃ
