Lou is an alpaca, and he has many friends! Lou likes to be known as The Zookeeper in what humans call a “neighborhood” and he is preparing for a new guest coming to the zoo. All the animals are excited and curious to meet this new mysterious guest. They wonder if the new guest is tall or short, young or old, maybe colorful or has stripes like them. Some of the animals are nervous that the new guest may not fit in with the others in their neighborhood.
Whatever happens, the animals all agree they want the new guest to feel welcome and accepted. And they can’t wait to become good friends.

The illustrations are fabulous! My niece is a huge animal lover so she would love this book.
Kids can relate to the animals’ emotions, making it a fantastic instructional tool. We all worry about what people will think of us, whether we’re in a new area, school, or meeting someone new.
