If you’re anything like me, you have a complicated relationship with the internet. While it’s incredibly useful and can be an instrument of connection, it can also be downright depressing. A lack of empathy, unkind words, and opposing viewpoints can so easily turn a good thing into a bad thing, right?

Well, to help change your opinion and mine, we present: Tom Hanks (America’s nice guy!) reading a series of ‘nice tweets’.

We’ve all seen the videos of Jimmy Kimmel having celebrities read ‘mean tweets’ about themselves, but this is kind of the opposite. Twitter Movies gathered up some of the most wholesome tweets on the internet and had Mr. Hanks read them out loud.

There’s everything from a tweet about chicken nuggets from a McDonald’s employee to a koala-saving rescue dog.

Not only does Hanks read the tweets in his all-too-familiar voice, he adds his own commentary, too, and it’s enough to warm all of our cold, cold hearts! When we watch this video, it’s impossible to imagine anyone else playing our beloved Mr. Rogers in the brand new film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

Thank you, Mr. Hanks, for adding kindness to the world!
